Eagle Vision Language Institute’s General English program prepares you for effective and appropriate communication in real-world situations in all areas: personal, public, professional and educational. This program is structured to help you improve your level progressively by acquiring new skills from a beginner to an independent level in all language communication activities (listening/reading comprehension, speaking/writing, communicative interaction) with plenty of additional work in grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation.

The program uses a communicative approach emphasizing skill acquisition through learner-centered classroom lessons and tasks and the use of authentic materials. In addition, learning English in an English-speaking city like Accra gives you the opportunity to improve faster because you will have the opportunity to practice the language both in the classroom and in your natural environment.

The General English program is organized into 5 major levels:

a) The General English program is the ideal program for you if you want to improve your English considerably for a university education or your professional career.

b) With our admissions system, registrations are open all year round. We have an intake every month. Click here to consult the academic calendar

c) You can enhance your prior knowledge and skills in English by taking a placement test to be placed at the right level in the program. You can also start your training with the first level (beginner) without a test and study for the duration of your choice from one month to one year depending on your needs and availability.

d) You can choose the intensity of your course between 15 lessons per week (regular) and 25 lessons per week (intensive). Each lesson lasts 50 minutes.

e) The content of each level of the program is divided into units that you will go through and complete successively. You will check your knowledge with a control test at the end of each unit. You can discuss your progress and difficulties with your teacher to get the necessary support.

f) When you register for the regular program, you will take 15 lessons per week, alternating between morning and afternoon depending on your level.

g) As part of this program, you will use our language lab with modern interactive resources three times a week to practice your knowledge and skills acquired in class or take a revision test to assess your progress.

h) As for the intensive program, you will take 25 lessons per week from morning to afternoon, including 5 sessions in our language lab for practical exercises or weekly revision tests.

i) The Intensive Programme is designed for learners who need to progress quickly in all aspects of the language. After the intermediate level, you will join the regular English program to continue your progression.
