Vacation English Immersion Program

Get exposure to the international job market

The 2016 Vacation English Immersion Program is an exceptional opportunity for students to improve their English language skills in a unique way while enjoying themselves in an English-speaking environment. Based on the educational philosophy of learning-by-doing, the Vacation English Program helps participants improve their English language skills with an interactive, student-centered approach. The Vacation English Immersion is holistically designed so that participants get the full benefit of language learning opportunities while enjoying their time with us. For an exciting language learning experience, participants attend communicative English Classes and participate in recreational activities as well as Excursions that will enhance their use of the English language.

English Classes

In the English classes, participants focus on developing their communicative English language skills in a comfortable classroom environment. Participants are grouped according to their proficiency level and work with highly trained, experienced language instructors who love to teach. Participants receive 10 to 15 hours a week of communicative English language instruction. Participants actively learn through hands-on activities like role-plays, debates and video projections. By engaging in fun and interesting language learning activities, participants see their language skills improving from the first day of class! This special program emphasizes English communication and not the teaching of rules.

Outings, excursions as well as recreational activities are organized throughout the entire program to enable participants to visit places of interest, learn about the culture and history of Ghana and interact with people who may influence their future. A number of places are selected within Accra and outside Accra.
