The homestay option is the possibility offered students to live in a local host family. Living as a member of the household also means that students have more opportunities to practise English outside the school. Unfortunately it is very difficult to arrange for students to live in a host family in Accra, close to the institute. However whenever possible, we inspect and choose our families very carefully, so that they can:

  • encourage students to feel at home and treat them as a member of the family
  • encourage students to speak English as much as possible
  • provide a clean and comfortable room
  • provide a suitable environment for studying
  • provide students with a balanced and appropriate diet
